We took a day to drive all the way from Kleins Camp in the north down to Ngorongoro Crater in the south. On the way we stopped at the Shifting Sands. This magnetic mass of sand moves across the Serengeti with the prevailing winds at approx 17 metres per year. It looks like it is alive. We then carried on through the Oledvrai Gorge and arrived at the crater lip just before dark.
